We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Account Payable Officer to be the welcoming face of our organization and provide exceptional front desk support.

Position Overview  

As Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at Sharab Hospital Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations. The CFO’s primary role is to manage the company’s financial planning, maintain the organization’s financial health, provide strategic financial insights, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The CFO is critical in influencing the company’s financial strategy, managing risks, and driving long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for putting in place mechanisms for accurate accounting of revenues (correctness and completeness of charging, collections, banking, and postings). It involves regular risk assessments and adopting policies and procedures to minimize risks.
  • Responsible for the management of accounts receivables and payables. It includes developing policies and procedures on credit sales, aging, recovery, payments, expenses, etc.
  • Responsible for management of cash flow and advising management adequately on cash situation and priority cash utilisations.
  • Responsible for establishing and supervising overall reconciliation activities (patients, bank, collections, schedules, etc).
  • Responsible for coordinating the preparation and monitoring of budgets with attendant reporting and evaluations.
  • Responsible for developing an accounting manual of procedures/processes/policies for the Accounts Department and its periodic review/revision.
  • Responsible for preparing reports to stakeholders such as profit and loss, balance sheet, pricing, costings, segment reporting, departmental performances, etc.
  • Responsible for overall management of financial risk/exposure to the company by developing strategies to minimize them.
  • Responsible for adequate supervision of Accounts staff and balancing adequately the Department’s resource requirements and tasks (includes appraisals, rotations, salary/level reviews, training, etc).
  • Liaising with external auditors to set annual audits
  • Work with internal auditors to ensure compliance
  • Any other duties expected of this position and as may be assigned by management and board of the company.

 

Qualifications:

  • Most be a CAT/FIA or AAT qualified or a related field. ACCA Level 2 or a bachelor’s degree in any Accounting will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • This is a full-time position with regular office hours.
  • This employment is fixed term for twelve (12) months subject to renewal.
